Enrollment Requirements

The American School of Verdadera Destreza welcomes anyone healthy enough to engage in mild aerobic activity and with an interest in learning about historical rapier fencing. However, the equipment we use isn't suitable for young children. Our training swords are blunted steel with rubber safety tips, but they are about 42" long and weigh a little over 2 lbs., which is too heavy for young children. Teenagers will probably do fine with them.

A parent or guardian must be present at any club activity that their children under the age of 18 are participating in.

By registering for club activities you are indicating that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions of the HEMA Alliance Waiver listed below. It is required that you bring a signed copy of the waiver with you to the workshop.
